Purveyor of Chicago-street food, Portillo’s, will be holding the grand opening of its first location in Queen Creek on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
There will be a ribbon cutting with Michael Portillo, Portillo’s vice president of restaurant support, at 10 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m., Portillo’s is open for hungry guests, according to a press release. The Queen Creek location is Portillo’s seventh restaurant in Arizona.
During the ceremony, Portillo’s will present its charity partners, Queen Creek 4-H and the Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation, with a check for the funds raised during the restaurant’s sneak peek training meals that took place on Aug. 21 and 22, the release stated.
Once open, the release stated, guests can order Portillo’s signature menu items such as Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, chargrilled burgers and chocolate cake.
