Queen Creek amends LGES deal

The Queen Creek Town Council has made two moves that will affect the building of the LG Energy Solution lithium-ion battery plant that’s expected to bring 2,800 jobs to the area.

In March 2022, the town agreed to a development deal with the South Korean company to construct and widen streets as well as make water and wastewater improvements in the public area adjacent to the battery facility at an estimated total cost of $84 million, a council staff report stated.
