Preliminary results: Johnson leads race for SUSD governing board

Voters in the Scottsdale Unified School District chose the next two governing board members during the Nov. 3 general election. Their choices are Jeanne Beasly (left) Amy Carney (Center) and Dr. Jennifer Johnson (right).

Initial election results show Dr. Jennifer Johnson leading a three-person race for two seats opening up on the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board next year.
Polls closed for Arizona’s general election at 7 p.m. Nov. 3.

Votes will continue to be counted in the coming days and no results are final until canvassed, but Johnson was in the lead with 36,422 votes (39.39% of the ballots counted so far) after the Maricopa County Recorder’s office released initial results 8 p.m. Nov. 3.
