The preliminary results are in for District 3 Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.
The total ballots cast currently is 221,199 with 44.38% turnout and Democrat Daniel Valenzuela has 123,826 votes for 50.76%. Republican Kate Brophy McGee has 49.24% of the vote with 120,100 current votes.
Brophy McGee is third-generation Arizonan. For the past 25 years she has been a public servant, from a serving on the Washington School Board president to a decade in the Arizona legislature and now serves Maricopa County, fighting for access to healthcare.
