Polls show Petersen leading GOP field for Attorney General, incumbent Mayes unopposed

Warren Petersen holds a 56.2% to 43.8% lead over Rodney Glassman for the Republican nomination in the Arizona attorney general's race, based on preliminary results Wednesday morning.

On the Democratic side, incumbent Attorney General Kris Mayes ran unopposed in her party's primary.

The candidates are competing for the office of Attorney General, a key position responsible for leading state law enforcement, executing consumer protection enforcement, and providing legal counsel to state agencies. The general election winner will serve a four-year term.
