Scottsdale police detectives are conducting an investigation into the death of a tree trimmer near the 6400 block of Lafayette that occurred November 1, around 1:30 p. m., according to an email from Scottsdale Police Department spokesman Officer Aaron Bolin.

There is no suspicion of foul play, Bolin said. However, his death was unexpected and so far, appears to be a tragic accident, Bolin said. The Maricopa Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

Police are not releasing the identity of the man until they confirm it and notify his next of kin, Bolin said. The man, who has family in another country, did not have any government-issued identification with him and was only verbally identified to police, Bolin said.
