Two people have been arrested by Scottsdale Police for the reported death of Ilya “Mike” Shimonov earlier this month, officials say.

Shimonov was reportedly shot on Jan. 3 in the parking lot the Hyatt Place Hotel at 7300 E. Third Ave., police officials say. He was transported to a local hospital, but died from his injuries, police say.

During the investigation, Scottsdale detectives were led across five additional states: California, Nevada, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Robert Yves Celifie, 41, was found and arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Jan. 12, police say. Chaze M. Cable, 41, was found and arrested in Texarkana, Arkansas, on Jan. 14.

Both suspects are reportedly charged with several felonies including first-degree murder.

Scottsdale Police detectives worked with other state police agencies during the investigation and their mission to find and arrest the suspects, according to a press release.
