Paul E. Rydning passed peacefully on June 1, 2017. Paul was born on June 9, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN to Einar and Orpha Rydning. Paul married Yvonne (nee Weller) in 1957, and began a 60+ year journey through life together.He graduated from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis as a machinist, and later graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Paul also served 7 years in the Minnesota National Guard. He began his career at the University of Minnesota, and went on to work for several years at Gillette in St. Paul, MN. He left Gillette to become a vice president at Diamond Tool, then vice president at Wausau Metals. In 1987, he founded a window manufacturing company, Parco Windows, located in Eau Claire, WI. After successfully building and growing the business until Paul and Yvonne sold the company, and moved to Sun City, AZ.Paul was an intense, driven, and knowledgeable person with many skills, interests, and passions. He was a talented mechanic, with the ability to repair anything that had an engine and wheels. He did extensive home-remodeling and construction that included several projects to help his children. He also enjoyed hunting, which took him on many trips to Montana, Canada, and Idaho. Paul and Yvonne also traveled extensively, sharing a variety of experiences together. Yet, Paul's passion was restoring and showing antique autos, and building custom show cars. He reached the pinnacle of antique auto restoration twice when he showed at the Concurs de' Elegance at Pebble Beach in 2004 and 2006. Paul was a loving and committed husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne, 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; his daughter Judy (Graham) and Kenny, and their son Keith; his son John and Lisa, and their 3 children Philip and his wife Jessica, Annalies (Launderville) and her husband Zach, and their two children Zayne and Everett, and Chersti. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Grace (Rydning) Hall. Paul is also survived by many relatives in Norway (Paul's father emigrated from Norway to the US), and enjoyed the time he spent and the relationships he built with them over the past 40 years. Paul was also a longtime friend of Bill W.Memorial services will be held at later dates to be determined in Sun City, AZ and in Minnesota. Memorials preferred to the food bank or shelf of your choice.
