Patsy Kakucsi, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away June 28, 2017. Patsy was born October 2, 1938 in Chandlerville, IL to Floyd and Imogene Wilkey. Patsy retired from Phoenix Union High School System in 1992. After retirement, Patsy and her husband, Hermann, build a large home in Overgaard, AZ and lived there for many years. They also resided in Tonto Basin, AZ before settling in Sun City West, AZ in 2007. Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Hermann, married 51 1/2 years; sons Gary, Keith and Kevin and daughters Kimberly, Lisa, Kimberly and Brenda; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one sister, Judy and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Imogene Wilkey; sisters, Betty Eckelman and Carrie Bell; brothers, Jimmy and Manuel Wilkey. Patsy and Hermann traveled extensively after retirement. When they were not traveling, Patsy enjoyed her exercise and stitchery clubs. She was an artist in cross-stitch, knitting, crochet and punch needle. She also had worked with Hermann, creating stained glass and toll painting projects. Hermann and the family wish to thank the many close friends that Patsy has had over her lifetime. Friends were precious to her and she cherished every one of them. A celebration of Patsy's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Hospice of the Valley.
