Northwest Christian girls win cross country in Phoenix

The new girl meshed ideally with a top Division IV cross country team returning almost intact at Northwest Christian.

That crew led the Crusaderes to a team state title Saturday at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Northwest Christian pulled  away from Chandler Valley Christian, winning with 60 points to the Trojans' 84.

All five Crusaders runners finished in the top 26, led by senior Ashley Tarasenko - who moved in with her family from Maui in the spring.
