The men and women of the Sun City North Golf Course hosted the 27th annual breast cancer charity golf tournament Nov. 7, where $14.000.00 was raised to benefit the Banner Imaging Lakes Center, 10474 W. Thunderbird Blvd., suite 100.
The tournament also honored Dr. Steven Charney, former Medical Director of Medical Imaging, and around 170 people from various courses and cities were in attendance to show their support for the outing. There were also raffle baskets filled with various donations — gift certificates, pottery, art, shirts, vacation packages, wine and coffee — and a $600 bicycle was auctioned off, including a tire pump, helmet and basket.
This annual tournament has raised money to help build a new biopsy room, provide equipment to service more people per week at the imaging center and purchase wigs.
