The Singletons and Pinedora Farms are utilizing vertical gardening to impact the health of local Singletons families.

Volunteers are partnering with the founder of Pinedora Farms 8–10 a.m. on Monday, May 1 to not only scrub the hub, but also plant 150 seedlings in vertical garden towers with compost cores, according to a press release.

They have indoor and outdoor towers that will grow all kinds of vegetation to be used to prep meals for Singletons families. The nonprofit is also sending home strawberry garden totes with families to help them learn to grow their own produce in small spaces. The concept of vertical growing is changing how people source and grow healthy foods, the release stated.

The Singletons is a nonprofit that supports single-parent families battling cancer.
