The Arizona Department of Health Services reported 34 new weekly coronavirus cases in Litchfield Park’s 85340 ZIP codes over the week ending Friday, May 28, double the new weekly cases reported last Friday.
That brings the overall tally of cases in the 85340 ZIP code to 3,938.
The ZIP code includes the city of Litchfield Park and unincorporated Maricopa County. The state does not separate cases by incorporated and unincorporated areas.
The agency said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:

As of May 25, Maricopa County health officials reported that more than 42% of all county residents and 49%, and 46% of doses administered completed that resident’s COVID-19 vaccine series.
According to the website, 3,359,160 vaccine doses had been administered in Maricopa County. Of those, 1,757,866 were first dose, 1,572,663 were second dose and 28,631 were unknown.
In Litchfield Park 85340, 57.1% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 48.1% had received their second dose.
