Eat, drink, bet. Oh, and there will be watching. Plenty to watch.
A restaurant, bar, nightclub concept with a Las Vegas-style sportsbook known as Tavern Park is planned to open in the P83 Entertainment District.
The concept comes from the owners of Lookout Tavern in the Moon Valley area of Phoenix.
It will occupy the space that formerly housed Fox and Hound and most recently Modern Round — a nearly 18,000 square-foot, two-story venue with multiple unique areas for dining and entertainment, according to their website.
At a recent Peoria Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, Planning Manager Lorie Dever said design review of the project has been completed.
The concept’s website touts Tavern Park will have one of the largest LED walls in the state, a massive center bar with towering ceilings surrounded by LED screens and live sports tickers that will make for some of the best sports viewing anywhere.
And to boot, the dual-purpose area will turn into a nightclub on weekends with a light and audio package that will “put Scottsdale clubs to shame,” with an upper level mezzanine overlooking the area.
Private sky boxes would be available to be booked for UFC fight nights, as well as exclusive VIP treatment during nightlife.
The establishment will include an exclusive sub-concept lounge, as well as an indoor “Park” that will be fully climate controlled during extreme temperatures and have the ability to open the walls completely to enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather, according to the website.
