New Chandler seafood eatery part of California-based chain

The Kickin’ Crab, a chain of seafood boil restaurants that originated in Southern California in 2010, has made its Arizona debut at the east end of the 99 Ranch Market plaza.

It’s on the northeast corner of Chandler Boulevard and Dobson Road.

The food is seafood in a bag, priced by the pound. Market price changes daily. It’s also available as mix-and-match combos with corn, potatoes, and sausages.

Options include clams, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, dungeness crab, lobster, king crab legs, and snow crab legs. Six garlic butter-based seasonings are available in five different spice levels.

There are a few plated entrees. There is beer, wine, and soju available, but there’s not a full bar.

The chain already has 22 locations in four states.

The hours are 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, noon to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
