Nasty politics come to Sun Cities

Sidewalk chalking, stolen signs

The months leading up to the primary and general elections this year began acrimoniously and it became worse as time went on.

Sun Cities residents were hopeful the campaign’s nasty tone would not spill over into their active-adult communities. Their hopes seem to have been dashed.

There have been a rash of stolen or defaced candidate signs, and late last month derogatory remarks were discovered on sidewalks in front of homes that had candidate signs in the yard.
