Maricopa County to host virtual meeting for White Tank plan

Posted

Maricopa County launched the update of its White Tank Grand Avenue Area Plan earlier this year and is holding the next community meeting to solicit input on Monday, Oct. 16.

This will be a virtual meeting, and the link to sign up can be found here

Visit Maricopa.gov/WhiteTankGrandAve for current updates on the project throughout the process.

The plan is set to be finalized by the end of the year.

Community members have been involved in the update process from the start by sharing input during one-on-one meetings, participating in open house events and virtual meetings, and providing feedback through two questionnaires.

By and large, community members expressed support for protecting scenic corridors, views and open spaces within the planning area.

Two growth areas, along U.S. Route 60 and Loop 303, are proposed in the draft plan to forecast growth in areas with existing or anticipated infrastructure and services.
