Tickets for the upcoming Phoenix show for California-based Regional Mexican group Marca MP go on sale Friday.
The combo, whose sound embraces banda, mariachi, and ranchera, will perform downtown at Footprint Center, 201 E. Jefferson St., on Saturday. Nov. 4. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at livenation.com.
The group’s 2019 debut single "El Guerro," a collaboration with Grupo Firme, was the most watched online video in Mexico that year.
Marca MP’s 11-city tour kicks off Oct. 6 at Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, making stops across the U.S. including El Paso, Las Vegas and more before wrapping up in New York in March 2024.
Marca MP — composed of Chato (vocalist and guitar), Omar Valdivia (guitar) and Ernesto Franco (tuba) — play romantic songs and old-fashioned corridos.
In 2019, Marca MP recorded four tracks, including the upbeat corrido “El Güero.” A few months later, the song reached 1 million streams on Spotify.
The band established themselves by re-recording “El Güero” as a duet with popular Tijuana outfit Grupo Firme. In December 2022, they concluded Lo Que Fuera un Sueño Tour by selling out the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles.
