Litchfield Elementary budget override leads with 60% support in early returns

Voters in the Litchfield Elementary School District were favoring the continuation of a 15% maintenance and operations budget override Tuesday night, according to early election results from Maricopa County.

Proposition 437 had received 17,851 votes in favor, or 60.48%, compared with 11,663 votes against, or 39.52%, as of approximately 9:40 p.m.

The measure would continue approximately $12.68 million in annual funding for district operations, including employee salaries and benefits.
