Posted

Increased traffic is expected over the holiday, especially on Rittenhouse and Riggs/Combs roads on Tuesday, July 4.

The fireworks event at Schnepf Farms will be held beginning at 4 p.m. on July 4. For more information on the event, visit SchnepfFarms.com. ‘Local traffic only’ signs will be posted in neighborhoods surrounding the venue.

Legal fireworks are only permitted within town limits through Thursday, July 6, and are limited to private property. Legal fireworks include ground displays and sparkling devices. Any devices that rise into the air and explode/detonate or fly above the ground are illegal.

The Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department has warned that all fireworks can cause serious burns and injuries. Additionally, the area is very dry and susceptible to fire this season. For more information on firework safety, including safe disposal tips, visit QueenCreekAZ.gov/Fireworks.
