James: In response to a recent letter about President Biden

Posted

Recently, John Thompson wrote that “Joe Biden, is under investigation for money laundering and treason.” What I found when I searched for “Biden treason” was, “Three Ukrainians who aided the Donald Trump campaign's efforts to discredit the Biden family have been charged with treason. They were led by Rudy Giuliani, who was Mr. Trump's personal lawyer at the time.” I’ve lost count of the number of investigations and actual indictments that Trump is facing.

He goes on to make claims about Biden allowing more than 10 million illegal immigrants into the country. No one allows illegal immigration! The immigration policies were the same as Trump’s until recently. Immigration around the world has been on the increase for several years and that has nothing to do with who is president, much like worldwide gas prices are not under the control of any president.

He then wonders why Biden did nothing when BLM burned down many areas of the country, a pretty extreme exaggeration, but still not taking into account the fact that these protests happened when Trump was in power.

How Mr. Thompson or anyone could compare Trump and Biden and conclude that Biden is consumed by rage and the desire to remain in power makes me think that every day is Opposite Day. That’s also evident when John says, “Biden puts our freedoms, lives, democracy and world in great peril on a daily basis” when the rest of the world is alarmed by the authoritarian language Trump is repeating from Nazi Germany.
