Initial steps taken for softball project in Sun City

The first steps were taken for improvements at the Sun City softball field, 10220 N. 107th Ave.
A plan drawing set was submitted to Maricopa County and was approved at the end of May. General contractor request for proposals were issued about that time and bids were due June 16. RCSC officials are reviewing those bids received.
The project has a $1 million budget and $37,517 has been spent so far.
