Kimberly Boege and Kristine Kollasch present “Love Remains: An Exploration of the Heart” in a new exhibit of paintings, prints and sculptures.

The exhibition will be on display from Monday, Feb. 5 through Thursday, Feb. 22 at Olney Gallery at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 100 W. Roosevelt St., in Phoenix. A First Friday reception goes from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2.

Boege specializes in reduction linocut prints.

“In this process, the plate is cut away with each printed layer of color,” Boege explained in a press release.

Botanical images are often the starting point for her work, and recently Boege has explored “Heart” imagery. She is a member of the Arizona Print Group, and her work is part of the permanent collection at the University of Colorado and the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum.

Kollasch is a painter, sculptor, designer, and builder.

Hearts have often been a theme in her work where she has explored the heart in two-dimensional paintings, collages and sculpture.

“The iconic shape is universal, yet the emotions and experiences of the heart are complex,” Kollasch stated.

She established Fine Art & Creative Environments, LLC in 1997, encompassing fine art, murals and themed environments. Kollasch is known for commissioned public art projects throughout Arizona.

“Chain Chain Chain...,” by Kimberly Boege, will go on display in Phoenix starting Feb. 5.
