SUN CITY - Gloria Mae (Heslop/Gibson) Mills went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at Hospice of Arizona. Gloria was born in Flint, Mich., on Jan. 1, 1935, to Birdie Fay (McIntosh) and Ellis John Heslop. She married Edward Mills on March 5, 1977. She drove bus for Flushing and West Branch Schools in Michigan for many years before retiring and moving to Sun City, Az. Gloria participated in the Sun City Pride Program and was a member of the Sun City Posse for several years. She was an active member of the Sun City Dog Park, loved art projects and bowling. Gloria attended Sun City Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are husband, Edward Mills; daughters, Debra (Manuel) Herrara of Sun City, Az., Joann Rogers of Owosso, Mich., Jackie (Steve) Wendal of Pottsville Pa.; son, Percy (Gwen) Gibson, Jr. of Iron Mountain, Mich.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-daughter, Shirley (Curtis) Wisenbaugh of Clio Mich.; three step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; brother, Bill Heslop of Sun City, Az.; sister-in-law, Janet Moeller of Sun City, West, Az,; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Feb. 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Sun City Church of the Nazarene, 14636 W. Del Webb Blvd, Sun City. Luncheon will follow service.
