Dial-A-Ride program retires this month in favor of Glendale OnBoard

The city of Glendale will retire its Dial-A-Ride program with the launch of the brand-new Glendale OnBoard phone app.

Beginning Monday, Dec. 12, customers will be able to schedule their own rides by using their mobile devices.

The new Glendale OnBoard app offers a multitude of options for its riders. While the app has been created for smartphone users, those who prefer to talk directly to a reservation representative to book a trip will still have that available.

Riders will also have the choice to either make payments through the app or pay in person with cash.

“We are excited about the launch of this new program,” Glendale Transit Administrator Kevin Link shared in a statement. “With Glendale OnBoard, our customers will have choices when it comes to booking and paying for trips.”

Glendale OnBoard microtransit is a curb-to-curb, same-day service available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays are also available, but must be scheduled with advanced reservations.
