Six Gilbert Town Council candidates kicked into the final leg of the primary election Monday at a forum hosted by Thrive Coworking for Women in the Heritage District.
The format had little in the way of fireworks as debate was excluded. Instead, the candidates mostly answered previously submitted, one-off questions from Thrive members or attendees on their positions on items like diversity and inclusion in town, whether the town’s infrastructure was prepared for the future and light rail.
The participants seeking the four council seats included incumbents Yung Koprowski and Scott September and former Council Member Bill Spence as well as Chuck Bongiovanni, Michael Clark and Jim Torgeson.
