GOLD CANYON - Fred A. Scheffer, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday Feb. 23, 2014. Born and raised in Palatine Ill. Fred was a resident of Gold Canyon for 32 years. Fred is survived by his wife of 21 years, Denise; sister, Elizabeth and husband, Paul Piotrowski of Phoenix; brother, Andre Scheffer; niece, Krystal Brundridge of Anthem; three great nephews and one great niece. A memorial service will be held at Superstition Funeral home, Friday March 21st at 2:00 p.m. 398 E. Old West Highway, Apache Junction, Az.
