Florence police handle theft, domestic violence calls

Florence Police report of incidents between June 29 and 24:

Theft-shoplifting reported at 8:34 p.m., June 20 at North Pinal Parkway Avenue                           

Officer was dispatched to a theft report. Reporting party advised a male subject had taken items without paying for them. Officer checked with nearby stores and an employee at one indicated the subject was there and the employee indicated he may have an identification card from the jail. Officer contacted the jail and was provided a name of an individual matching the subject's description. Officer submitted charging review packet to town attorney for determination of charges.

Medical emergency reported at 1:52 a.m., June 21 at East Echo

Officers and Florence Fire were dispatched to a report of a medical emergency. Reporting party advised a 2-month-old child was not breathing. CPR was conducted by offices and fire personnel.  Florence Fire contacted emergency doctor that pronounced the child deceased. Pinal County Medical Examiner's office was contacted and responded.

Car fire reported at 6:06 p.m., June 24 at West Rushmore Way

Officers and Florence Fire were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire. Reporting party advised he did not know how or why his vehicle was on fire. Officers provided scene security while Florence Fire put        out the fire. Vehicle was towed from the scene upon the fire being extinguished.

Domestic violence reported at 7:01 p.m., June 24 at East Florence Heights Drive

Officer was dispatched to a report of domestic violence. Contact was made with parties involved. They agreed to separate for the night. Officer submitted charging review packet to town attorney for determination of charges.
