Arts HQ in Surprise will play host to “From Darkness Into Light,” an exhibit designed to inspire and empower those going through a cancer journey, through a partnership between the West Valley Arts Council and Cancer Support Community Arizona.
The exhibit will be on display from June 11-July 9 at Arts HQ, 16126 N Civic Center Plaza, Surprise. The West Valley Arts Council will host an opening reception for the public from 5 to 7 p.m. June 11.
Cancer Support Community Arizona will share the stories of those impacted by cancer through art. Local artists have donated their time, talent and their own resources spending many hours creating a visual expression of a person’s story and experience with radiation therapy.
CSCAZ thanks the Mayo Clinic Humanities in Medicine Department for providing a venue to originally showcase this work. The exhibit will move from the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix to Arts HQ.
