Evelyn Ammeson died peacefully Sunday, May 19, at home in Sun City surrounded by family. She was 94 years old. Her last days were full of anticipation and longing to be with her Savior Jesus, whom she dearly loved.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and Sina Jacobsen. She married Arthur Ammeson April 30, 1955 and enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Together they raised six children, including two sets of twins. When their children were young, they moved to Williams Bay Wisconsin. Their retirement included 27 years in Sun City. During those years, Evelyn enjoyed time with her friends as she was a “people person.” Her activities included: sewing, painting, ceramics, and card making to name a few, but her greatest joy was enjoying a cup of coffee with a treat with the people she cared about. Her church Grace Bible brought much joy to her life. She was an avid prayer warrior and lover of God’s word. She also was the glue that held her family together.
Evelyn is survived by her children; Dwight (Craig) Ammeson, Wayne (April) Ammeson, Carl (Laura) Ammeson, Carol (Dana) Ellefson, Lynn (Sandy) Ammeson; and 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Arthur Ammeson and son Dale Ammeson.
