ECM Technologies is finalist for Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence awards
Awards gala April 29 at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback resort

ECM Technologies, a company for HVAC efficiency and energy conservation, has announced its naming as a finalist in the Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence awards for its signature product, ThermaClear.
ThermaClear is an advanced nanotechnology HVAC treatment that helps decarbonize commercial buildings to accelerate a more sustainable future. The Environmental Excellence awards program, presented by SRP, is one of Arizona’s most prestigious recognition related to statewide projects that impact quality of life and sustainability, according to a press release.
ECM Technologies’ ThermaClear treatment was selected from about 65 nominations as a leading innovation by a judging panel made up of leaders and experts in the community. Specially designed to help commercial facilities reduce their carbon emissions and energy consumption by up to 20% annually, ThermaClear also lowers the amount of power required to run HVAC equipment which translates to less maintenance issues and extended equipment life.
The city of Phoenix Public Works department has implemented ThermaClear for up to 12 million square feet of conditioned space after running numerous, successful, long-term pilot programs over the past four years in the Valley, the release stated. With a 10% average energy reduction after ThermaClear treatment, Phoenix will save more than 9 million kilowatt-hours per year. This equates to energy cost savings of over $1 million per year.
“We are honored to be recognized as a finalist for the Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence awards,” Michael Daly, chief technology officer of ECM Technologies, said in the release. “Our team has spent years conducting extensive pilot programs and case studies across the country, the latest being our partnership with the City of Phoenix, to prove the effectiveness of ThermaClear and its ability to help companies become more sustainable. Being named a finalist for this prestigious award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the city of Phoenix and our team.”
Award recipients will be announced at the Environmental Excellence awards gala at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort and Spa on Saturday, April 29.
More than 500 people throughout the state attend the event each year, the release stated.
The gala is open to the public, but tickets must be purchased. Those interested in attending should visit https://arizonaforward.org.
