Deer Valley Unified OKs some, not all, new boundary proposals

Process to prepare for upcoming enrollment impact moves on with 2027-28 focus

Deer Valley Unified School District may be getting a little closer to changing its boundaries.

The controversial effort to redistribute student enrollment to manage capacity and growth impact on its north end made some headway at Tuesday’s board meeting. The board voted to accept recommendations from the district’s Long Range Planning Committee on some newer models for updated boundaries for the 2027-28 school year, but not all of them.

The board agreed first with a proposal that impacts Anthem students and families.
