Deer Valley Unified faces shrinking elementary enrollment in Anthem

With a student population as high as 909 in 2019-20, Diamond Canyon, located in Anthem, is projected to drop below 700 students this year.

Student enrollment throughout Deer Valley Unified School District will dictate recommended changes from a new committee, which this semester is examining everything from boundary changes to possible campus closures.

One of those focus areas is Anthem.

Formed this past May, the School Attendance Boundary Committee will study numbers and trends this fall semester and is expected to present its findings, and potential change recommendations, in early 2026.
