Three schools from Deer Valley Unified and one from Glendale Union High school districts earned high marks among all Arizona public schools.
The Arizona Educational Foundation presented its A+ awards to 53 public schools in the state. The A+ program began in 1983 to recognize excellence in Arizona schools and recommend those schools for the U.S. Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon Award.
While the honor to those schools that distinguish themselves takes place annually, those schools recognized will keep their A+ designation for five years.
