Controversial zoning request not heard by Scottsdale City Council

Posted

The owner of the proposed Swags restaurant pulled it’s request for the Scottsdale City Council to hear its rezoning request for .29 acres downtown. during the council’s Oct. 24 meeting.

A neighbor of the proposed restaurant filed a legal challenge based on noise and parking issues the new restaurant could create requiring the rezone to be approved by five of the seven city council members.

The owner of the proposed restaurant requested the issue be moved to the council’s Dec. 4 agenda in order to address the legal challenge.
