Goodyear crews continued to work Friday afternoon to clean up after a storm ripped through the city, downing trees and light poles, city officials said.
As of Friday afternoon, more than 100 trees had been removed from major roadways and sidewalks. City parks also lost 22 trees to the storm, and two tennis court light poles fell at Goodyear Community Park, according to a release.
City officials said the heaviest-hit area was along Indian School Road from Perryville Road to Litchfield Road and the surrounding Palm Valley community.
If residents find any debris or trees blocking roadways, downed power lines or anything else impeding roadways, officials said they should call 911 with immediate safety concerns.
For non-emergency issues, such as debris and items not affecting roads or posing an immediate safety concern, report a problem through www.goodyearaz.gov/reportproblem.
