Buca di Beppo not only announced the closure of 13 stores in late July, including one in Chandler, the company announced Aug. 6 that it’s filing for bankruptcy.
The 30-year-old, Florida-based Italian chain has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The July closure of the location in a Ray Road shopping center, east of 54th Street, not far from I-10, left the chain with only 44 restaurants nationwide.
Locations remain open in Scottsdale, Mesa and Peoria.
