East Valley town raises short-term rental fees, penalties, strengthens enforcement

Gilbert Town Council unanimously approved a package of changes to its short-term rental regulations Sept. 1, raising annual licensing fees and penalties for unlicensed properties while strengthening the town’s enforcement authority.

The three ordinances were approved as part of a combined package of public hearing items without council discussion.

Council members Yung Koprowski and Kenny Buckland were absent, making the vote 5-0.
