All Queen Creek elementary students under the age of 12 can take part in the Second Annual Children’s Business Fair.
The event is organized by Benjamin Franklin Charter School and is sponsored by Acton Academy, the Acton School of Business, as well as donors and volunteers, according to a press release.
The fair takes place from 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, March 4 at the Benjamin Franklin High School parking lot, 18864 E. Germann Road.
Students are eligible to create and host a booth at the business fair. Booth set-up begins at 8 a.m.
Participating “kidpreneurs” will develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then “open” for customers at the one-day marketplace, the release stated.
This event is aimed at teaching children business skills, responsibility, financial literacy, goal setting and teamwork.
“I would love to see the whole of the Queen Creek community show up to support these future business leaders in their entrepreneurial endeavors,” stated Kevin Ball, the principal of Benjamin Franklin Charter School - Crismon Campus. “Our country is a wonderful place in which we are free to create and innovate. I hope to see students from across our town getting into the business-building spirit.”
The business fair will also include a Touch-a-Truck event at the same location. The business fair is open to the public.
