Budget, transportation focus of next Surprise City Council work session

The Surprise City Council will discuss its fiscal year 2026 budget and give an update on transportation in the Asante area at its next work session on Feb. 18.

The city kicked off its budget season in January to work on next year's budget, which is expected to grow from this year's $1.03 billion budget.

Transportation projects will also be on the table as residents in the northern parts of Surprise still seek relief from bottlenecked traffic patterns near Grand Avenue (US 60) and 163rd Ave.
