The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approved a contractor for an animal shelter in the West Valley in its consent agenda on Oct. 21.
The board approved the contract with Kitchell Contractors not to exceed $80,986,282.05 for the West Valley Animal Care and Control Facility, located at 10139 W. Northern Ave. in Glendale.
The construction services will encompass the balance of construction required to complete the new facility and associated site development that was not previously included in the original contract.
