Scottsdale Fashion Square and the American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 4 in the mall’s south parking lot, 7014 E. Camelback Road.

Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-in appointments may also be available, according to a press release.

Donors with all blood types are welcome, especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative who can give a Power Red donation, which collects a concentrated dose of red blood cells. These donors must meet specific eligibility requirements.

The drive will also accept regular blood donations, during which approximately a pint of whole blood is given; these appointments usually take about an hour.

Each donor will receive a gift card for a complimentary coffee or drink from Capital One Café.
