I’ve been the recipient of robotic surgery for a cancerous growth on one of my kidneys awhile ago and would not hesitate to do it again.
The robot is operated by a very skilled and trained physician that requires a lot of special training.
I have to admit the da Vinci robot looks a little spooky, and I believe there are different kinds, but for some surgeries it is less invasive and in my case according to my primary physician was a better choice.
