Big Brothers Big Sisters announce new board chair

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona named Matthew Manoogian, co-founder of Good Company Real Estate, as board chair.

Manoogian has been involved with BBBSAZ for more than two decades, starting at age 25 when he volunteered as a Big Brother and was matched with a 6-year-old boy named Marcus. Now 27, Marcus remains a part of Manoogian’s life.

In 2019, Matt and his wife, Natalie, became a Family Match to a 7-year-old boy named Ethan, who joined the Manoogian family and bonded with the couple and their two daughters, Avery and Olivia. Now 13, Ethan continues to grow within a nurturing and supportive family dynamic.

“Matt exemplifies the heart of our mission,” said Debbie Castillo-Smith, interim CEO of BBBSAZ, in a press release. “His personal dedication, leadership, and long-standing mentorship relationships embody the power and promise we strive to ignite in every child. We are honored to welcome him as our next Board Chair.”
