The Arizona Swing Kings Jazz Orchestra hasn’t swung in quite a while, but all that will soon be changing.
The 18-piece big band -- a West Valley music scene mainstay -- like just about every other entertainment bunch was in shutdown mode for much of 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“We have not worked since our last gig in March,” band director Lenny King said Dec. 30. “We did have rehearsals in October, but then stopped again because of the virus surge. We are planning to resume rehearsals on Jan. 14.”
