ASU engineering school namesake Ira Fulton dies at age 94

Arizona State University donor and engineering school namesake Ira Amond Fulton died Aug. 21 at the age of 94.

Fulton is not only known for his dedication to ASU but also to education as a whole, giving millions to higher education, including Brigham Young University, where the engineering school carries his name as well.

“Generations of engineers are the proof of that investment, and they are Ira’s legacy. Our thoughts are with the Fulton family,” said Kyle Squires, dean of the college and senior vice provost for engineering and technology at ASU.
