Sun City church slates meal, fellowship program

Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird Blvd., has announced the menus for the meal/fellowship program of TNT (Thursday Night Together) for September. In addition, a concert with a variety of western music from Pastor Dave Summers and Scott Gardner, featuring their vocals and guitar playing, will follow the Sept. 28 meal at 6:15 p.m.
Meals begin at 5 p.m. in Smoot Hall and consist of a salad bar, entree, dessert and beverage (iced water, lemonade, iced tea, coffee). After the other meals, there may be a program or a guest speaker.
The meals are prepared by Chef Larnell Benton and cost $7 per person for each meal. Reservations must be made by 4 p.m. the Tuesday before the event. For reservations or further information, contact the church office at 623-974-5821, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
The dates and menus are: Sept. 7 (stuffed peppers, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and rolls), Sept. 14 (southwest pork, black beans, yellow rice and cornbread), Sept. 21 (salisbury steak, egg noodles, sweet corn and rolls) and Sept. 28 (chicken lasagna, roasted green beans and garlic bread).
