Apache Junction Mounted Rangers doubling as holiday elves

Posted

The Apache Junction Mounted Rangers have been doubling up as holiday elves in cowboy hats.

Every year the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers partner with several local families who would not be able to afford gifts for the holidays, according to Liz Rizzo Sterba, AJMR public relations officer.

“We buy gifts and give them gift wrap so the parents can wrap the gifts. The community of Apache Junction and those businesses that hire us for events are the reason we can do this project along with many other donations over the course of the year,” she wrote in a release. “We are amazing because the community is amazing.”

The Apache Junction Mounted Rangers is a 501(c)3 charitable organization operating primarily in Apache Junction. It is a volunteer peacekeeping group that supports organizations, companies and various community events such as the Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo.
