Anita Ruth Crompton, 97, formerly of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on November 9, 2023 in Concord, California. She was born on January 19, 1926, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Anita raised three children, enjoyed her career and retired as Director of Claims at Alexander Hamilton Life Insurance Company.
Anita will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful person who always put others first. She had a warm heart and a gentle spirit that touched the lives of those around her. Anita was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her surviving family members, including her sons David, Bill, and daughter Kathy, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Anita and her Husband, Robert, retired to Sun City West, Arizona from the Detroit Area and quickly established roots in the community in organizations such as the Sun City West Theater and Lions Club.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband Robert Crompton and her sister Irene Pickthall. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.
Outside of her career, Anita had a lifelong passion for singing and had a beautiful soprano voice. She also had a talent for knitting and crocheting. All her family have something that she created with her hands. These hobbies brought her joy and allowed her to express her creativity. She found solace and peace in her craftwork.
Anita worshipped at Covenant Baptist Church in Michigan and Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church is Sun City West, Arizona. Her faith was an important part of her life, providing her with strength and guidance.
A private memorial ceremony is planned for January 2024 at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West, Arizona. This gathering will allow family and close friends to come together to honor and celebrate Anita's life.
Anita's kindness, selflessness, and love will forever be remembered. She leaves behind a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
