Closing in on 30 years strong, the Arizona Songwriters Gathering will bring a full day of music to Glendale again.
The Arizona Songwriters Association’s free event welcomes performers, writers, and music enthusiasts of all ages to collaborate and perform. More than 120 live music performances will take place throughout the day across various stages.
The 29th annual event goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Glendale Main Library, 5959 W. Brown St.
Residents can bring their voice and instruments for open song-sharing circles or learn from a variety of workshops and lectures led by experts, including the US Copyright Office, Jason Blume, Sandy Ramos, Dr. E. Michael Harrington, David Hilker, Jeff Freundlich, Eric Ramsey, and Nancy Elliott.
Topics will cover song critiques, writing for sync and metadata, the impact of AI on songwriting, digital audio workstations, writing for the Nashville market, turning stories into songs, melody writing, blues, and booking yourself as an artist.
Songwriter Jeff Dayton will perform the event’s closing concert.
Food trucks will be available throughout the event.
The Arizona Songwriters Gathering is supported by the Arizona Commission on the Arts and takes place in partnership with the Glendale Main Library and the Arizona Songwriters Association, with sound support from Barnett Productions.
